Your data

Where is my history kept?

On your phone only. There is no account and nothing is sent to us, which also means we can’t see or restore it.

How do I move to a new phone?

Go First’s data is included in your iPhone’s backup. If you set up the new phone from an iCloud or computer backup, your history comes with it.

Can I get a copy of my history?

Yes. Go to You › Settings › Your data. “Export challenge history” gives a file that opens in a spreadsheet. “Export everything” also includes checkpoints and levels.

How do I delete everything?

Go to You › Settings › Your data and choose “Delete everything”. Deleting the app also removes it.

Challenges

A challenge doesn’t suit me. What can I do?

Open its options (⋯) on Today. “Not today” swaps it for another. “Not for me” stops it being offered. You can bring a removed challenge back from You › Removed challenges.

The challenges feel too easy or too hard.

Each area, or pillar, has its own level, and it moves as you record how things went. The weekly checkpoint also asks how the week felt and adjusts from your answer. You can redo the starting questions from You › Redo starting sort.

Can I choose which areas I get challenges in?

Yes. You › Pillars lets you switch areas on and off, and You › Your life sets which parts of life challenges come from, such as work or family.

I recorded a debrief by mistake.

You can change a debrief until the end of the day you saved it. Use “Edit this debrief” under the result on Today.

What is the stack?

A short list of things you’d like to keep doing as habits. You can add a challenge after completing it, or choose from easier ones on the stack screen, and record it with “Did it” each time.

Reminders

I’m not getting reminders.

Check they are switched on in You › Settings, and that notifications are allowed for Go First in your iPhone’s Settings › Notifications. A Focus mode can also hold them back.

Why don’t reminders say what the challenge is?

Reminders can show on the Lock Screen, so they leave the challenge out.
