Terms of use
Last updated 5 October 2026
These terms apply when you use the Go First app. Go First is made by David Slee, in Australia (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app.
What Go First is
Go First suggests small social challenges and lets you record how they went. It is designed to help build confidence and social skills.
It isn’t medical or psychological advice, and it isn’t a treatment for anxiety or any other condition. It doesn’t replace a doctor, psychologist or other health professional. If things feel hard to manage, please speak to one.
If you are in immediate danger or thinking about harming yourself, call your local emergency number. In Australia that is 000, and Lifeline is available on 13 11 14.
Using the challenges
Every challenge is a suggestion. You decide which to take on, and you are responsible for what you do.
- Use your own judgement about what is safe and appropriate where you are.
- Treat other people with respect. If someone seems busy, uncomfortable or not interested, leave it there.
- Don’t do anything that is unlawful, or that puts you or anyone else at risk.
- If a challenge doesn’t suit you, choose another, or mark it “Not for me” so it isn’t offered again.
Who can use it
You need to be 16 or over to use Go First.
Your information
What you record stays on your phone. The privacy policy explains this. Because nothing is stored with us, we can’t recover your history if you lose it. You can export it from You › Settings › Your data.
Your licence to use the app
You may use Go First on devices you own or control, for your own personal use. The app, its challenge library and its wording belong to us. Please don’t copy, resell or republish them.
Apple’s standard licence agreement for apps also applies to your use of the app. Where these terms say something different, these terms apply to the extent the law allows.
Paid features
If you buy something in the app, the purchase is made through your Apple Account and handled by Apple. We don’t receive your payment details. The price and what you get are shown before you buy. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms.
Changes to the app
We may change, add or remove features, and we may stop offering the app. We’ll try not to remove something you rely on without notice, but we can’t promise the app will always be available or free of faults.
Our responsibility to you
We take care in making Go First, but we provide it as it is. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for loss or harm that results from using the app or from acting on a challenge.
Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or under consumer law where you live, that can’t be excluded.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
